Gone Fishin'

Last weekend Louis and Hector went to to do a little fishin' on the banks of the Columbia.  They didn't do a whole lotta catchin', but they still had a fun time.

Miniature Zen Garden

A couple weeks ago I went to a plant sale and picked up a couple cute dwarf trees: a Japanese maple and spruce tree.  After I got them home I thought they would make a perfect miniature zen garden.

Alice's Third Birthday

While everyone was over celebrating Easter, we had a little party for Alice's third birthday.  I can't believe that my baby girl is already three years old.

We sang her happy birthday, whether she liked it or not.

Easter Egg Hunt

We had a good time at Easter this year. Everyone came over to our house:  my parents, and Hector's parents, sister and nice. We had an Easter Egg Hunt, ate some ham and macaroni and cheese (my specialty), and then celebrated Alice's third birthday.

Easter Egg Dying

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter.  We had a great time here in Vancouver; my parents flew up from Norco for the weekend, so there was lots of family to celebrate with.

Our first order of business Easter weekend was some egg dying.  This year we did it the old fashioned way, with food coloring.

Let's Go Fly a Kite, Up to the Highest Heights

Last weekend we had a couple blustery (and dry) days, so it was the perfect time to fly our kites.  We went to a park not too far from our house, with a great kite-flying hill. We all had a lot of fun.
