California Dreamin'

Earlier this month we took a spring break trip to California for my cousin's wedding.  While we were there, we spent a couple days at the beach in San Clemente.

Alice made a friend and did some serious sand castle building.

Easter 2016

I hope that everyone had a happy Easter!  Our day started with lots of chocolate.

Alice loved the little bunny that was in her basket.

Louis was so excited about his new Pokemon game.

We went to church for Easter service.  After church there were egg hunts for the kids.

When we got home, we had another egg hunt.  It had started raining, so we had to hold this one inside.

Then we had a yummy lunch of ham and home-made macaroni and cheese.

Pinewood Derby and Gardening

A couple weeks ago Louis' Cub Scout troop had their annual Pinewood Derby.

Here's Louis with his car.  He painted it his favorite colors, red and black.

Louis came in 3rd place in the Bear den.

Here are some cute pictures of Alice working really hard on the garden.  She helped me dig some holes for flower planting.

Blue and Gold Banquet

This year Louis joined a local Cub Scout troop.  He's had a lot of fun so far, trying new things and making new friends.  A couple of weeks ago his troop had their Blue and Gold Banquet.

At the banquet, Louis got his Bear Claw, Super Science, and Fellowship and Duty to God belt loops.

A Star is Born!

Her class did the "Bubble Dance".  Alice was super cute and loved being on stage.

Alice Built a Snowman

Shortly after New Years we had our first (and probably only) snow day for the winter.  The kids had fun riding on their sleds while we pulled them along the street.
