We signed Louis up for summer flag football. This year he's on the orange team.

Last weekend Hector's parents invited us over to celebrate my birthday.

Alice had her first corn on the cob.
We took the kids to get their portraits taken last weekend. Alice wasn't too sure about the whole experience at first, but after a little while she got into it and we got some cute ones.
After we moved into our house I found some green stalks growing underneath a tree in the shade. I wasn't really sure what they were, but on a whim I moved them to a sunny spot in the garden. Now I have gorgeous red lilies blooming every summer.
Last week Louis went to the Oregon Zoo with his day camp. He has so much fun that he decided that we all were going to go back last weekend. We were glad he did, because we all had a lot of fun.

I hope everybody had a fun Fourth of July. We had a (mostly) quiet time at home.
