Happy Birthday to Hector and Alice

We had a joint birthday party for Hector and Alice this weekend.  Hector's parents came over to help us celebrate.  It was an Elmo/super hero party.  Alice picked Elmo, and Louis and I made Hector super hero cakes.
I think the Hulk turned out the best, even if he looked like he lost a nose to leprosy.
Louis helped blow out the candles.
Alice liked the Hulk too.
Hector helped Alice open her presents.

Look Who's Two Now!

Our little girl is two years old now.  Alice's birthday was on the 19th this month.
Louis couldn't wait for her party; he had to give her her present as soon as we would let him. She loved it.

Tiptoe Through the Tulips...

A couple of years ago on their trip to Holland my parents bought us some tulip bulbs, and now every year we look forward to when they start blooming.  We love all the gorgeous colors; they really brighten up the grey days.

 Alice loves the tulips too.

Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday was another beautiful spring day.  After church Hector's parents came over for Easter Brunch.

Alex pushing Alice on her swing.
We had another egg hunt at home.  By this time Alice was a pro.

More Eggs!

Saturday afternoon after the Farmers Market we did some egg decorating.  It was nice and sunny, so we were able to dye the eggs outside.
Even though Louis explained that they were hard boiled, Alice kept trying to crack the eggs on the side of the cups.  The she got the pink dye and wouldn't let anyone else use it.  That's why we ended up with only one pink egg.

The finished product.

Easter Egg Hunt

I hope everyone had a very happy Easter.  We had a busy weekend here.  The weather was absolutely gorgeous, and we spent every minute outside that we possibly could.

Saturday morning we met our friends Doug and Amanda, and their son Ben, at the Farmers Market for the annual Easter egg hunt.

Alice and Ben were worn out from all the excitement.
Louis' group was mass chaos.  I tried to get a picture of him, but he took off too quickly.
I did get a picture of him with the Easter Bunny.
